In 2015, the disappearance of young mother Crystal Rogers added to the fear and uncertainty, especially when her abandoned car was found with no trace of her. The tragedy worsened in 2016 when Crystal’s father, Tommy Ballard, was shot and killed while out hunting with his grandson, adding another layer of heartbreak.
