The Canadian Killer

In a tragic incident that came to light on May 18th, 2022, Skibicki was arrested for the first-degree murder of 24-year-old Rebecca Contois, a member of the Crane River First Nation. As the investigation unfolded, the authorities made a chilling revelation on December 1st, 2022. Skibicki was also charged with first-degree murder in connection with three more victims: 39-year-old Morgan Harris, 26-year-old Marcedes Myran, and an unidentified woman later known as Buffalo Woman.

Brian Shaffer

Surveillance footage captured him entering the establishment, but there was no record of him leaving. Despite extensive searches, investigations, and media attention, Brian’s disappearance remains shrouded in uncertainty. His case continues to baffle investigators and has sparked countless theories and speculation among true crime enthusiasts. Terry Sovey

On September 22nd, 1984, 25-year-old Terry Sovey, also known as Terry Gayton, took a trip to Millington, Michigan, accompanied by her friend William Bibby. Unfortunately, after their visit, Terry mysteriously vanished, leaving her loved ones desperate for answers. Despite extensive efforts to locate her, Terry's whereabouts remain unknown, leaving behind a haunting mystery. The circumstances surrounding Terry's disappearance continue to baffle investigators to this day.

Sandusky River Murders

In todays episode, we are covering not only one unsolved case, but two. Both cases took place in Tiffin, OH and left communities grappling with fear and seeking answers. In November of 1998 the lifeless body of Taah Cooper was discovered along the serene banks of the Sandusky River. As the investigation unfolded, it became clear that Taah’s death was not a mere coincidence but a heinous crime that robbed a vibrant soul from this world. In a tragic turn of events on March 25, 2002, the lifeless body of Cassandra Cole was found along the Sandusky River in Seneca County, near Tiffin, OH. The circumstances surrounding Cassandra’s death remained  shrouded in mystery, as investigators diligently worked to uncover the truth. These heartbreaking incidents serve as a stark reminder of the lasting impact such tragedies can have on small towns, leaving these communities forever changed.

Cheryl Strother

In this episode, we delve into the tragic case of Cheryl Strother, a 17-year-old student who went missing after leaving her summer school class in Radcliff, Kentucky on July 24th, 1974. Despite her parents' best efforts to find her, Cheryl's whereabouts remained unknown for a month until a squirrel hunter stumbled upon her body tied to a tree at Tobacco Leaf Lake in Fort Knox, Kentucky on August 24th.

The discovery of Cheryl's body sent shockwaves through the small community, and her family and friends were left devastated by her untimely death. The investigation into her murder yielded few clues, and the case has remained unsolved for decades, leaving many unanswered questions and a deep sense of injustice.

Dr. No

In 1985, a woman's body was found along the I-71 interstate, and over time, more murdered prostitutes were found with no leads on the killer or killers’ identity. In 2019, DNA evidence from the crime scenes led investigators to Samuel Legg III, known as "Dr. No," linking him to two of the murders. Unfortunately, Legg's mental state was deteriorating, making him unfit to stand trial and leaving authorities uncertain if he's responsible for other cases or if other killers are still at large. The investigation continues in hopes of bringing closure to the victims and their families.
